Birds, birds and birds!

Since my last blog I have been out a couple of time shooting birds. My 2 favourite local spots to do this are Strandfontein Sewage Works and Kirstenbosch. At the Sewage Works there is a big variety of water based bird species including more than a thousand flamingos. Got some amazing shots of the flamingos on my last shoot. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens has a large variety of bird species including Sugar and Sun birds. I just love to catch them in the early morning sunshine.

Besides the birds I also took some pictures of (and participated in) an anti circus animals protest in Sun valley. Big turnout of protesters and got some great shots. Also met a really nice young photographer and had a nice chat to her. Great to see that there is an upcoming contigent of new young photographers.
